ABOUT SOFIA

Sofia Macaluso was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and is currently in her final semester at The University of Oklahoma, Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre. She plans on moving to New York City post-grad, and she plans on bringing her cowboy boots up there with her.

During her time in school, she’s worked under Sara Brians, Ashton Byrum, Paul Christman, Lyn Cramer, Scott Guthrie and many other wonderful directors and professors. She has learned so much and loved every second of her training. Some favorite credits include Dyanne in Million Dollar Quartet (Theatre Aspen), Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (OU) & Ensemble/Meredith u/s in Bat Boy (Casa Mañana).

In addition to performing, Sofia has a passion for graphic design, social media, and video-editing. From directing music videos with her friends for fun, to creating logos/playbills for school productions, to running OU Musical Theatre’s instagram account (See some Content/Reels She’s Created Here), Sofia is always creating!
